Omar Al Marzooqi

With nearly two decades of experience in the oil and gas industry, Omar Al Marzooqi spearheaded the establishment of AIQ, an ADNOC and G42 joint venture. As the company’s CEO, Al Marzooqi is steering and fueling the growth of AIQ as a leader in Artificial Intelligence (AI), helping the energy sector become more sustainable, efficient and profitable. Al Marzooqi oversees the growth of AIQ’s expanding team of subject matter experts who are developing ready-for-market AI solutions and products. He has helped create a Research and Development (R&D) function to ensure that AIQ continues to pioneer cutting-edge AI technology and he has established strategic partnerships with private entities and local universities to further the acceleration of AI development and cement the UAE’s position as a leader in advanced technologies. A strong supporter of the UAE’s national development goals and the country’s National AI Strategy 2031, Al Marzooqi has led the development of several AIQ initiatives to foster Emirati talent, such as internships and local recruitment, as well as contributing to the ‘Make it in the Emirates’ program. Prior to joining AIQ, Al Marzooqi held various executive positions at ADNOC Group. Al Marzooqi holds an Executive MBA from Zayed University, Abu Dhabi and a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Valparaiso University, USA.
