Tobias Sinn

Tobias studied at the Technical University of Karlsruhe (KIT) and at the Technical University of Catalonia in Barcelona and obtained a master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on energy and environmental technology. He joined Linde Engineering in 2011 and has more than 11 years of experience in olefin technologies as a Process Engineer for large olefin plants with a focus on the separation section. Projects include designs of new plants as well as complex revamp projects and investigations into alternative olefin routes.

Since 2020, Tobias has been closely involved in the development of progressive low emission plant designs, starting from the concept evaluation phase through to the detailed design of innovative plant components. Tobias was also involved in the design of the first e-furnace DEMO unit and in the development of advanced heat integration concepts for large scale e-furnace applications. He is co-inventor of several patents and patent applications in the field of low emission and electric cracking furnaces.
