Matthias Kaiser-Pölleritzer studied economical engineering with focus on innovation & process management at the university of applied science at Wiener Neustadt (lower Austria). Joining OMV Refining Asset Management in 2014 as an expert for process automation.
Since 2015 he is responsible for establishing, aligning, and steering standards, best practices and experience exchanges for safety automation, alarm management and process safety related topics within the OMV’s refineries. This includes projects, such as ESD migration programs, green field plant, revamps, and brown field projects as well as maintenance activities or topics like recurrent checks, proven in use and end of life.
Since 2023 he is the acting functional safety officer for the whole OMV Fuels & Feedstock area. Within this role, he is responsible for the management system itself & the alignment of all OMV F&F productions sites.
He started his career in the engineering of municipal water treatments, engineering of plants for the automotive industry and automation engineering at mining facilities always with a safety focus.
