Hernando Salgado

Hernando is an FCC Technical Service Engineer at BASF Refining Catalyst with more than 20 years of experience in the Refining Industry, and in particular Fluid Catalytic Cracking, Hydroprocessing and Residue Upgrading technologies. Currently he provides technical support for BASF customers in Middle East and Africa, and is also involved in catalyst formulation and testing. He holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from the Industrial University of Santander in Colombia, and a Professional Doctorate in Process Design from Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands. Prior to BASF Hernando worked for Ecopetrol (the Colombian National Oil Company) and Saudi Aramco.
