Gunnar's journey commenced with a robust education in Civil Engineering, majoring in Structural Engineering at the Brandenburg University of Technology (BTU) in Cottbus, Germany. He graduated with honors, establishing a strong technical foundation. Subsequently, Gunnar founded his engineering company, where he honed his proficiency across diverse aspects of structural engineering, with a particular focus on steel and membrane structures, as well as biogas plants.

In August 2021, Gunnar assumed the role of CEO at EPT for Storage Tanks, infusing his extensive engineering acuity into the organization.
