Johan de Villiers

Johan de Villiers currently serves as the Regional Division President for the Energy Industries Division, responsible for India, Middle East, and Africa. Johan and his team serves energy and water companies in the region to develop, produce and operate sustainably, safely and efficiently. This includes the deployment of automation, digital and electrification solutions that enables and accelerates the energy transition. Johan’s professional journey began with roles in engineering, manufacturing and project management. This foundation paved the way to diverse business leadership positions, which contributed to his growth in both business and management skills. His roles included full profit and loss responsibilities, as well as country leadership roles, taking him from South Africa to the Middle East and Southeast Asia. His experience span a range of Industries, such as power grids, process automation, industrial digitalization, and robotics. Prior to his current role Johan lead ABB’s Group Account Management Program. Johan has a Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, as well as a Master Degree in Business Administration
