Daniel Palmer is managing director of commercialization for the energy sector at Climate Investment, an investment fund founded by OGCI. In this role he works to scale and accelerate the adoption of new technologies to reduce GHG emissions in the oil and gas industry. In recent years has focused on methane sensing and mitigation technologies and their deployment at scale in industry.
Daniel spent more than 20 years at Schlumberger in various roles across the globe, working across operations, marketing and technical positions. He led the global marketing and technology functions. He has since worked for and founded technology startups in solar energy, and mining geoscience. He holds numerous patents, and has widely published in oil and gas, solar and mining technology. Daniel holds a master’s degree in engineering from the University of Cambridge.
