A seasoned maritime professional with over 30 years of cross-functional experience in the shipping industry.
His international career has extended over Hong Kong, Singapore, India, and the United States with senior profiles in managing container shipping businesses covering Asia, Indian Subcontinent, the Middle East, Africa, Europe, plus North and Central America.
Experienced in leading Container Liner P&L, Mergers and Acquisitions, Terminals and Intermodal services‘ procurement, Sales and Customer Experience Delivery at a regional level in various areas in the world.
Currently, he is Hapag-Lloyd's Senior Managing Director for Region Middle East, covering 50 countries in the Middle East, Indian Subcontinent and Africa, and a board member of the company’s infrastructure business in the region.
A merchant mariner in his early beginnings, Dheeraj has been instrumental in initiating investments into Terminal Infrastructure and Shipping IT domain. His entrepreneurial traits have led him to initiate and execute business strategies to achieve a market leadership position for Hapag-Lloyd.
