Belgacem Merad

Belgacem Merad is currently Vice President Middle East & North Africa.

Belgacem joined Weatherford in 2022. Previously, Belgacem was Chief Commercial Officer and Supply Chain Officer for Rig Contractor business based in Dubai after spending 21 years with Schlumberger. Belgacem started his career as a Geophysicist and Seismic Engineer in 1997. He held several fields, operational, technical, HR, Supply Chain, Integration and senior managerial position across different continents and product businesses. He has experience in both private as well as publicly trading companies in the US and the UK. Now leading Weatherford International across Middle East & North Africa.

Belgacem received a double MSc (Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University in the US and Reservoir Geoscience and Engineering from IFP in Paris, France). Additionally, he also holds an MBA from Rotterdam School of Management – Erasmus University- Netherlands as well as a Strategic Management and advanced finance certificates from IMD School at Switzerland.
