Gustaw Szarek

Gustaw Szarek is a Partner with McKinsey & Company based in Warsaw, Poland.

Gustaw leads Energy Transition and Decarbonization client service in Oil & Gas in Europe and the Middle East. He leads Firm’s collaboration with international O&G organization on defining and assessing decarbonization pathways, technologies underpinning them, and resulting investments required. He has co-authored and contributed to multiple publications in the field of Energy Transition and Net-zero transition, including Net Zero Europe 2050, which outlines the economically-optimized path to achieving the bloc’s climate goals. 

Since joining the Firm in 2012 Gustaw has worked in Africa, Americas, Asia, Australia and Europe with energy and materials companies on strategy and strategy-led transformations, transactions and performance improvement.

He has graduated from Warsaw School of Economics with Master’s degree in Quantitative Methods and Information Systems in Business, and has also studied Psychology and Management.

He is fluent in English and Polish.
