Ewan McKenzie is the Climate Director at Ipieca, leading our team supporting the Climate Change and Fuels and Products groups and our stakeholder and industry engagement in these areas.
Ewan joined Ipieca in August 2022 bringing over 18 years of global experience across the oil and gas industry, and national and local government to the association. Most recently he led Shell’s HSSE due diligence in relation to major acquisitions and divestments, and the development of Shell’s New Business Development Carbon Management Framework.
Ewan has extensive experience in operational environmental and carbon management roles within Shell, and prior to that, roles in engineering consultancy and sustainable development and waste management in local and national government. He holds a BSc in Forest Management and an MSc in Sustainable Rural Development from the University of Aberdeen.
