Yasmine Afifi

Yasmine Afifi is the Senior Corporate Counsel leading the AWS Public Sector Legal across the Middle East, North Africa and Turkey (MENAT). As part of her role, she provides legal and regulatory compliance advice to AWS teams, contributes in shaping business/Go-To-Market strategy, negotiates contracts, and works proactively with regulators and policy makers to advocate for a cloud-friendly legislation. Yasmine also leads the MENA Chapter of the AWS Inclusion Ambassador Program, where she focuses on driving a more inclusive, fair and respectful culture at AWS and works to build a community of allies, advocates and agents that promotes ID&E. During her 18+  years career working at Fortune Global 500 Corporations in technology and oil & gas services sectors, Yasmine has demonstrated track-record of successfully negotiating and closing strategic and complex multi-million dollars projects across MENAT region. She has worked in Egypt, U.S. and UAE, covering multiple jurisdictions and acting as a business partner and a trusted advisor to different teams across the organization.
