Clay Neff is Chevron’s President of Upstream. He is responsible for Chevron’s exploration and production activities across the globe. Clay joined Chevron in 1985 and has held numerous leadership positions including: President of International Exploration and Production; President of Chevron Middle East, Africa, South America Exploration and Production Company; and Managing Director of the Nigeria Mid-Africa business unit. Prior positions include: General Manager of Asset Development and Production Operations Manager for Chevron’s Southern Africa business unit; General Manager of Operations for the Gulf of Mexico business unit; General Manager of Asset Development for the San Joaquin Valley business unit; and Manager of Chevron’s North America midstream business. Clay currently serves on the boards of the Corporate Council on Africa, the U.S.-Saudi Business Council, and the Board of Advisors for the Bilateral Chamber of Commerce. Clay earned a bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering from Louisiana State University, where he is currently a member of the Dean’s Industry Advisory Council for the university’s College of Engineering.
