Michel is Chief Data Officer at TotalEnergies, where he has been leading strategic data and AI transformation initiatives for more than a decade. He is also Chief Technology & AI Officer of the TotalEnergies Digital Factory, a 300+ person organization responsible for developing digital products, software solutions, and decision-support systems used across the company. Holding a PhD in Industrial Engineering, Michel started his career as an AI and data science developer before moving into leadership roles at the intersection of technology, business transformation, and innovation. He is currently pursuing a second PhD in Knowledge Management, a discipline he believes is key to maximizing the impact of AI by connecting human expertise, organizational knowledge, and advanced technologies.
