H.H. Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa holds several prominent roles in the Kingdom of Bahrain, including National Security Advisor, Commander of the Royal Guard, General Secretary of the Supreme Council for Defence, and Chairman of Bapco Energies. He also serves as the Personal Representative of His Majesty the King for Philanthropy and Youth Affairs, President of the Supreme Council for Youth & Sports, and Chairman of the Royal Charity Organization, among other high-ranking positions in national defense, economic development, and humanitarian initiatives. As Commander of the Royal Guard, Shaikh Nasser oversees strategic military planning and established the elite Special Quick Reaction Force. He led the first Royal Guard Task Force during the Saudi-led military operations in Yemen in 2015. As National Security Advisor, he represents Bahrain in key international delegations and manages national and regional security policies. Deeply involved in economic affairs, he contributes to Bahrain's development strategy as a member of the Economic Development Board and leads Bapco Energies in its transition toward sustainable energy solutions. He also plays a major role in youth empowerment, heading youth and sports initiatives that aim to engage and develop the talents of young Bahrainis. A passionate sportsman, Shaikh Nasser actively competes in triathlons, equestrian endurance races, and camel racing. His philanthropic work includes humanitarian missions such as supporting Syrian refugees in Jordan and disaster relief efforts in the Philippines. His Highness received military training at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst and the U.S. Marine Corps Command and Staff College. His service and contributions have earned him numerous honors, including the Order of Ahmad Al Fateh, the Shaikh Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa Decoration, and international awards for humanitarian and sporting achievements. Notably, he won first place in the FEI Endurance World Championship 2022 in the UAE.
