Wafa is the UK lead for Energy and Natural Resources Strategy at KPMG and also leads the Energy Transition practice globally. Wafa brings circa. 20 years of experience advising utilities, national oil companies, infrastructure investors and energy businesses across the Middle East, Europe, North America, and Asia. Her experience spans investment strategy, portfolio transformation, business model design, transactions, and large-scale transformation programmes. She advises Boards, CEOs and CFOs on growth strategy, capital allocation, regulation, operating model transformation, and value creation across the global energy sector. Given her passion for energy transition and delivering net-zero, she is on the Board for Aldersgate Group - an organisation championing a competitive and environmentally sustainable economy lead by former UK Prime Minister, Theresa May. Prior to joining KPMG, she worked for Department of Energy and Climate Change providing advice to the Secretary of State for Energy, Ministers and Senior officials at HMG on energy policy and at RWE where she worked in Corporate Strategy team for the generation business across Europe.
