Vimal Kapur is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Honeywell, a global integrated operating company that helps customers solve the world's most complex challenges across the industrial, process and building sectors.

Throughout his tenure as CEO, Vimal has focused relentlessly on accelerating growth and transforming the company’s portfolio, including through approximately $14 billion in accretive acquisitions. He is the architect of Honeywell’s separation into three industry leading public companies: Honeywell Aerospace, one of the largest publicly traded pure-play aerospace suppliers; Solstice Advanced Materials, a leading pure-play specialty materials company; and Honeywell, the global leader of the industrial world’s transition from automation to autonomy.

Bringing nearly four decades of deep automation and global industry experience, Vimal will continue to lead Honeywell as Chairman and CEO following the separation.

He became CEO in 2023 and Chairman in 2024, previously serving as President and COO of the company. Prior to that, Vimal led three businesses across Honeywell: Performance Materials and Technologies, where he delivered strong growth and built a sustainable technologies platform critical to the energy transition; Building Automation, which he transformed into the company’s high-growth automation leader following the spin-off of Resideo Technologies; and, Honeywell Process Solutions, which he strengthened despite a major oil-and-gas downturn.

He began his career in 1986 and joined a Honeywell joint venture in 1989, eventually becoming the Managing Director of Honeywell Automation India Ltd. Vimal graduated from Thapar Institute of Engineering in India with a degree in Electronics Engineering. He is a member of the Business Council, Charlotte Executive Leadership Council and U.S.-India CEO Forum.
