Paul Marsden is President, Energy, leading Bechtel’s Energy global business unit from Houston. He brings more than two decades of international experience in engineering, construction, project management, and executive leadership at Bechtel, with deep expertise in the energy and petrochemicals sectors. Paul began his Bechtel career in London in 1995 and held key engineering and leadership positions across the U.S., Australia, Asia, and Europe, including U.K. rail projects, the CSPC Nanhai Petrochemicals Complex in China, and the TPX Revamp project in Thailand. He held key project management roles on the award-winning Queensland Curtis LNG program, completing it as senior project manager in 2015, later served as senior project manager of the Wheatstone LNG project, and from 2018 led the Pennsylvania Chemicals project. Elected principal vice president in 2014 and senior vice president in 2017, Paul holds a Master of Engineering from Durham University, England. He is a chartered engineer, a fellow of the U.K. Institution of Civil Engineers and Engineers Australia, and a registered professional engineer of Queensland.
