This year at ADIPEC 2022, PTTEP and its subsidiary, AI and Robotics Ventures (ARV), will showcase advanced cutting-edge technological innovations, offering simplified solutions to meet business challenges and minimize the environmental impact of operations, with the goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions from the production process for both E&P and non-E&P industries. These are some of the key decarbonization technologies that PTTEP and ARV will exhibit at the PTTEP booth, Concourse Hall, Stand No. CN51.

Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS)

PTTEP launched Thailand’s first CCS study project at Arthit Field, an offshore gas field in the Gulf of Thailand operated by PTTEP. A feasibility study was completed, encompassing a preliminary assessment of the carbon storage capacity of the targeted geological storage formations and the corresponding conceptual development plan for supporting infrastructure and storage drilling. The preliminary front-end engineering and design (Pre-FEED) is currently underway with the target of first operation by 2026.

CO2 Conversion to Carbonate-Based Product

CO2 Conversion to Carbonate (CCC) is a technology that advances the utilization of carbon dioxide through a practical application that can take in a wide range of CO2 concentrations and convert them into a high-value cyclic carbonate using low energy consumption.

Flare Gas Conversion to Carbon Nanotubes

The Flare Gas Conversion to Carbon Nanotubes project is an initiative to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions while also delivering promising technology to effectively tackle flare gas issues.

Carbon Nanotubes (CNTs) are carbon-based nanoparticles regarded as a “future material” for applicaiton in advanced technologies such as composite materials and energy storage.

Smart Forest Solution

The Smart Forest Solution offers green area management for initial carbon credit monitoring and calculation of a large area as a carbon credit scale solution, as well as a platform for green area analysis and processing to increase the effectiveness of green area management planning.
