Hector Perea is the Director of Portfolio Management at XRG’s Energy Solutions investment platform, where he oversees investment strategy and contributes to execution across key markets, supporting the development of infrastructure required to meet rising energy demand driven by population growth, industrial expansion, electrification and digitalization. With nearly two decades of experience in strategy and business development in energy and chemicals, Perea has held leadership roles at prestigious organizations, such as ADNOC and Moeve. He has driven high-impact transactions and formed strategic partnerships across the energy value chain, working alongside private equity firms and sovereign wealth funds, including Carlyle, Apollo, and Mubadala. Perea holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the Technical University of Munich (Germany) and an MSc in Management from Stanford University (US).
