Dr. Djoko Siswanto is the current Chairman of SKK Migas, Indonesia’s Special Task Force for Upstream Oil and Gas Business Activities. He brings over three decades of experience in the energy sector, having held strategic leadership positions across Indonesia’s oil and gas regulatory and operational bodies. Prior to his appointment as Chairman, Dr. Siswanto served as Secretary General of the National Energy Council and Director General of Oil and Gas at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources. He has also held senior roles within SKK Migas and BPH Migas, including Deputy for Procurement Control, Director of Upstream Oil and Gas Business Development, Director of Natural Gas, and Director of Fuel. Dr. Siswanto holds a Ph.D. in Petroleum Engineering from the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) and an MBA in Oil & Gas Management from the University of Dundee, UK, where he was the first Indonesian to earn this degree. He completed his undergraduate studies in Petroleum Engineering at ITB, graduating as the first student to finish within four years since the program was established. With his strong academic foundation and extensive professional track record, Dr. Djoko Siswanto continues to play a pivotal role in shaping Indonesia’s upstream oil and gas industry, fostering innovation, efficiency, and sustainable growth in the sector.
