Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Alebri
CEO
ADNOC Onshore
Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Alebri is the Chief Executive Officer of ADNOC Onshore, where he leads one of ADNOC’s largest and most strategically critical businesses, responsible for sustaining secure and reliable crude supply across Abu Dhabi’s onshore asset base. Leading large‑scale producing assets, extensive drilling activity, and complex growth programs, he is accountable for the strategic and operational delivery of ADNOC Onshore’s portfolio as the company advances toward ADNOC’s target of 5 million barrels per day production capacity by 2027. Dr. Alebri’s leadership is defined by disciplined execution at scale, technology‑enabled performance, and long‑term value creation. He is advancing ADNOC Onshore’s unconventionals portfolio, steering multi‑billion‑dollar capital investments, and accelerating the deployment of advanced technologies and AI‑enabled solutions, from drilling optimization and field performance to production reliability. In December 2025, Dr. Alebri was appointed Chairman of the Board of Abu Dhabi Offshore Power Infrastructure Limited (Lightning HoldCo), a TAQA–ADNOC joint venture overseeing a majority stake in Project Lightning, one of ADNOC’s flagship offshore decarbonization initiatives. In this role, he leads the Board’s governance and strategic agenda and supports the delivery of a critical enabler of ADNOC’s sustainability ambitions and offshore operational efficiency. A defining chapter of his career was his role as Chief Executive Officer of ADNOC Gas, following the consolidation of ADNOC Gas Processing, ADNOC LNG, and ADNOC Industrial Gases into a single, world‑scale gas processing, operations, and marketing company. Appointed CEO at inception, Dr. Alebri led the integration of multiple legacy organizations, established a unified operating model, aligned complex joint‑venture interfaces, and accelerated delivery of growth projects central to ADNOC’s gas and LNG expansion strategy. During this period, he progressed more than $15 billion in gas investments, reinforcing ADNOC’s position as a leading global gas supplier. Alongside this transformation, Dr. Alebri oversaw the ADNOC Gas IPO, one of the region’s most significant public listings, raising approximately $2.5 billion and achieving record oversubscription, reflecting strong market confidence in ADNOC’s strategy, governance, and long‑term growth outlook. Across his career, Dr. Alebri has held senior leadership roles spanning upstream assets and downstream‑linked gas and industrial operations, including CEO of ADNOC Gas Processing and General Manager of ADNOC Industrial Gases. He is widely recognized for leading complex capital programs, advancing digital transformation, and embedding AI and advanced engineering solutions to strengthen operational performance, resilience, and execution discipline across ADNOC’s hydrocarbon value chain. Most recently, as CEO of ADNOC Sour Gas, he led operations at the Shah Gas Plant, the world’s largest ultra‑sour gas facility. His tenure focused on operational excellence and reliability in one of the industry’s most technically challenging environments, while executing major expansion ambitions and accelerating advanced technology deployment—a combination that has become a hallmark of his leadership approach.
