Bruce Johnson is the Director of Corporate Finance and Treasury at Masdar, where he leads the company’s global structured financing activities and oversees its corporate finance function. He played a key role in the establishing Masdar’s MTN Program in 2023 and continues to drive the company’s long-term financing strategy in support of its global growth. Mr. Johnson joined Masdar in August 2020, after six years as a senior member of Mubadala’s Structured Finance and Capital Markets team. With more than 20 years of experience in advising on and structuring infrastructure financing, primarily in the renewables sector, he has been instrumental in securing landmark transactions for Masdar. These include establishing Masdar’s first green revolving credit facility during his tenure at Mubadala, securing long-term credit ratings from Fitch and Moody’s in 2021, publication of Masdar’s Green Finance Framework in 2023, and green bond issuances totaling USD 2.75 billion to date, and overseeing multiple award-winning project financings totaling more than USD 20 billion. He holds an MA in Business and Management from the University of Glasgow (2004) as well as a Graduate Diploma in Law and an LLM from the University of Law (2022).
