Technical Account Manager, FCC Catalysts, BASF Middle East Chemicals LLC

Pastor Jose Manrique Valero is a Technical Account Manager for FCC Catalysts at BASF, supporting refineries across the Middle East. He has 20 years of experience in fluid catalytic cracking (FCC), having held both technical and commercial roles. He holds a Chemical Engineering degree from UNEXPO (Venezuela) and an MSc in Oil Refining from the Institut Français du Pétrole (IFP). Before joining BASF, he worked at PDVSA in technical support and process engineering roles, as well as for an FCC catalyst supplier and an FCC technology licensor. In his current role, he collaborates closely with refinery teams to optimize FCC unit performance, troubleshoot operational challenges, enhance reliability, and support the implementation of catalyst technologies.
