Muhammad Adnan Zafar is a Value Chain Optimization leader with over 17 years of international experience in refining, petrochemicals, and hydrocarbon value chain optimization. He currently serves as Manager, Value Chain Optimization at ADNOC Group, leading advanced planning, refinery economics, linear programming, and optimization initiatives across the energy value chain. Muhammad is also a co-developer of VAST (Value Chain AI Shutdown Tool), which received the Future Digital Twin & Generative AI Middle East 2024 Award. Previously, he held leadership and technical positions at Petro Rabigh, YASREF, and Pakistan Refinery Limited. He holds a Chemical Engineering degree and an Executive MBA and is passionate about digital transformation and AI-driven decision-making.
