Dr Hongzhi Chen is an expert specialising in artificial intelligence, high-quality datasets, autonomous agents, and industrial large language models. He has contributed more than a dozen of national AI research projects and pioneered innovative frameworks, including Self-Refinery Agent, Swarm Agent, and Agentic Travelling, to enable AI-native energy industrial intelligence. His work has been applied to oil and gas exploration, pipeline optimisation, and production decision-making. He has authored over 40 publications and contributes to China’s national AI standards. He received the IPTC Technical Excellence Award once and serves on multiple international AI and energy conference committees.
