Lead Research Engineer, Benit M Co. Ltd.

Gregorius Harvianto is the Lead Research Engineer at Benit M, where he conducts research, develops process design methodologies, and commercializes the company’s proprietary technologies, such as the EAVD® for active vapor split control in dividing wall columns, an energy-saving mono-nitrobenzene purification process, and a cost-effective PGMEA reaction and distillation process.

He has over nine years of industrial experience in distillation and absorption process design at Benit M, including thermodynamic modeling of advanced amine solvents for CO₂ capture. Gregorius earned his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering and has contributed to several patented technologies and authored 21 scientific publications. His work focuses on implementing research into practical engineering solutions that improve energy efficiency, operability, and performance, prioritizing safety and environmental sustainability in industrial refining and petrochemical processes.
