Senior Mechanical Engineer – Offshore Projects, Eni

Costantino Zappino is an aerospace engineer with more than 12 years of experience in the energy industry, with extensive involvement in LNG, FLNG and offshore production projects.

During his career with Eni, he has worked across Europe, Asia and Africa, covering engineering, technical coordination and project delivery activities.

Most recently, he contributed to the FEED development of a 6 MTPA FLNG project for Argentina while based in China and working closely with the EPC contractor. His responsibilities included equipment technical evaluations, multidisciplinary design reviews and engineering coordination. He previously worked in China on Nguya FLNG for Eni Congo, covering static and rotating equipment, EPC contractor and vendor interfaces, engineering coordination, and project execution through the final construction and commissioning phases.

His previous experience includes offshore and brownfield projects in Norway with Vår Energi, where he acted as Company Responsible Engineer for static and rotating equipment packages. His professional interests focus on LNG and FLNG project development, mechanical equipment, engineering integration and multidisciplinary coordination across complex EPC projects.
