Prashant Singh is the Head of New Energy (Hydrogen & CCUS) at ONGC, where he leads the organization’s strategic low‑carbon and energy transition initiatives from the Delhi Corporate Office. With more than 32 years of experience in the oil and gas sector — including 24 years in field operations — he brings a deep understanding of upstream operations, asset performance, and emerging clean‑energy technologies.

Prashant began his ONGC career in 1993 as a Graduate Trainee – Mechanical and has since held diverse leadership and technical roles across the company’s North East and Mumbai High offshore operations. His contributions span maintenance, planning, rig operations, and asset performance enhancement. He also served in the advisory management team of Executive Director of ONGC’s Ahmedabad Asset, supporting strategic decision‑making and operational oversight.

In his current role, Prashant is instrumental in steering ONGC’s efforts in green hydrogen, carbon capture, utilization and storage (CCUS), and other low‑carbon pathways aligned with India’s energy transition goals.

He holds a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from REC Silchar and an Executive Diploma in Marketing from Nirma University. His leadership development includes programs from globally renowned institutions:

  • Strategic Management, IIM Ahmedabad
  • Senior Leadership Program, McKinsey, Kitzbühel, Austria
  • Leadership Program, IESE Business School, Barcelona

Prashant also serves on the Boards of Pawan Hans Limited and Aayana Renewables Pvt. Ltd., contributing to strategic direction in aviation services and renewable energy
