Pape Momar LO, an electrical engineer trained at École Polytechnique de Montréal and McGill University, brings nearly twenty years of experience in managing complex infrastructure projects across Canada, Africa and internationally. He began his career with AECOM and Peter Kiewit & Sons, contributing to major projects in the energy and mining sectors. In 2010, he returned to Senegal to join APIX (National Agency for Investment Promotion and Major Projects), where he coordinated strategic national initiatives such as the Keur Massar–Diamniadio–AIBD toll highway and the Takkal Energy Plan. Mr. LO later led major infrastructure programs, including the Regional Express Train (TER) project in Senegal, before serving as Deputy CEO of MCA-Sénégal II, where he oversaw the U.S.-funded Energy Compact valued at 330 billion CFA francs. With his recognized expertise in infrastructure, energy, and transportation, and a strong record in inter-institutional coordination, Mr. LO was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Réseau Gazier du Sénégal (RGS S.A.) in August 2024. He leads the company’s strategic mission to implement the national gas pipeline network, in alignment with the National Transformation Agenda: Vision 2050, thereby contributing to Senegal’s energy sovereignty and sustainable development.
