Rich joined Turnwell Industries in November 2024.  Turnwell Industries is a Joint Venture including ADNOC, SLB and Patterson Drilling to perform all operations and support the integrated development plan for Unconventional Development in the UAE.  Turnwell has operated six to eight drilling rigs and two frac fleets to deliver the 144 wells program, appraising both oil and gas unconventional potential.

Prior to joining Turnwell, was the Vice President of Drilling and Completions for WPX Energy / Devon Energy from September 2017, with assets in the Permian, Eagleford, Anadarko Basin, Power River and Williston basins.  With the WPX and Devon merger in January 2021, built the Drilling and Completion Team supporting all unconventional assets for the newly formed Devon Energy.

Nine years at EOG, most recently as the Division Operations Manager in Oklahoma City. In this role, was responsible for Drilling, Completions and Production. Before moving to OKC in October 2014, was the Division Completions Manager in Ft Worth, TX.

Prior to EOG, Rich was with Schlumberger for 22 years where his tenure included project management at the company’s Regional Technology Center in Dallas that focused solely on developing engineering practices and technologies associated with unconventional reservoirs.  During his tenure with Schlumberger held various engineering and management positions throughout Oklahoma, Texas and Kansas as well as worldwide, including London, Aberdeen Scotland, Balikpapan Indonesia, Beijing China.

Rich has bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering from the University of West Virginia.
