ADIPEC ‘CHOOSES’ to enable participants' decarbonisation efforts

The theme for ADIPEC 2023 – ‘Decarbonising. Faster. Together.’ – emphasises our strong purpose and commitment to supporting the global energy transition and the creation of a more robust, equitable energy system. With that in mind, we also recognise how important it is for us to embark on our own sustainability journey, to make a positive contribution to the planet, in line with the collective global drive to accelerate a lower-carbon, higher-growth world.

In this regard, I am proud to announce that ADIPEC has designated the climate tech company CHOOOSE as its official Carbon Partner as part of a partnership to enable the event’s participants to measure and address their carbon footprints.

Through this partnership, ADIPEC participants – including attendees, delegates, vendors, suppliers, and stakeholders – can estimate their carbon footprint related to their ADIPEC travel and accommodation via CHOOOSE’s carbon calculator web app and take climate action directly through the app.

The multi-modal app will be embedded into ADIPEC’s website, enabling event participants to input the details of their flights and ground transportation to and from the event, as well as their accommodation information, to estimate the carbon footprints of these activities. The app will calculate ADIPEC participants’ resulting carbon emissions according to leading industry calculation methodologies. Participants can then choose to address their carbon emissions by supporting certified, high-impact climate projects that align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs).

This partnership is part of ADIPEC’s commitment to championing a cleaner, more secure future, by advancing climate action and ensuring that sustainability runs through the entirety of the event, from our own offerings and operations to that of our participants and stakeholders.

Every journey begins with a single step, and with our CHOOOSE partnership, we are helping to ensure that ADIPEC’s participants make their journeys to our event that much more sustainable.
