Alberto Giovanzana

Alberto Giovanzana is a Chief Commercial Officer at Johnson Matthey (JM), a global leader in sustainable technologies that enable a cleaner and healthier world. He is responsible for commercial strategy, business metrics and sales in JM’s Catalyst Technologies business which manufactures speciality catalysts and additives and licenses process technology for the chemicals and energy industries. As an advocate for the important role of catalyst technologies in industrial decarbonisation, Alberto is passionate about technologies that enable JM’s customers to move away from fossil fuels to use more sustainable feedstocks.

Before joining JM, Alberto was Senior Vice President and Head of Global Technology for BASF’s nutrition and health division, where he was responsible for steering the direction and managing the growth of the division’s businesses. This was after building experience in various business management, marketing and technology roles, serving markets across the chemicals sector, at Ciba Inc and through acquisition into BASF.
