Director of National in Country Value (ICV)

Salama Al Awadhi currently holds the position of Director of National Value Added at the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MOIAT). Her expertise lies within the industrial sector and the Oil & Gas industry, with a specific focus on Supply Chain and In Country Value (ICV), accumulated over 15 years of experience in two geographic regions: the UAE and Oman. Before joining MOIAT, she served as the Head of Supply Chain Exploration at Occidental Abu Dhabi (Oxy). In this role, she was fully responsible for designing and implementing contracts and procurement strategies for the UAE Exploration campaign. During her tenure at Oxy, Salama held various roles and led projects in Supply Chain Contracts & Procurement, ICV, and Inventory optimization. In 2018, she was promoted to the position of Head of In Country Value, where she was responsible for the company's ICV strategy and driving the delivery of ICV initiatives and opportunities. After a successful 14-year career in the private sector, Salama decided to bring her expertise and knowledge to the public sector and joined MOIAT in 2022. Additionally, Salama began her career as a Wireline Engineer at CNLC. She holds a bachelor's degree in Earth Science (Geology) from SQU.
