Anwar Husen Akbar Ali is the VP Subsurface and Petroleum Engineering for NESR. His work history includes Petronas Malaysia as Head of Petroleum Engineering; Cairn India as Tight Oil, Tight Gas and Marginal Fields Asset Director; and BG Group UK as Head of PTech and Subsurface Director. His career began in 1988 as field engineer with Schlumberger. Anwar has a BSc.(Hons) in Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering from UTM Malaysia and Master’s Degree in Reservoir Management from IFP, France. Co-inventor for US Patent Method of simulation modelling of well fracturing and SPE Distinguished Lecturer. He has skills in operations, FDP, reservoir management, production enhancement, project management, new venture, M&A, digital field deployment and CCS.
