Hasan is a lead partner in EY-Parthenon’s energy strategy, energy transition and sustainability related services in the MENA region.  He is also the co-ordinating partner for hydrogen related topics for EY-Parthenon and EY Climate Tech for MENA.

Hasan has 25+ years of professional experience across strategy consulting and industry, with deep experience in energy, resources, chemicals and asset intensive industrial sectors.  While home is in Sydney, Australia, Hasan has consulted to clients in the Middle East, Australia – New Zealand and SE Asian countries. Prior to EY-Parthenon, he was a Principal with Bain & Company in Australia, Partner with Kearney in Asia Pacific, and mostly recently Partner with Arthur D. Little in the MENA region.

Hasan has been focusing on topics related to energy transition, decarbonization, low carbon technologies (e.g. hydrogen, CCS, energy storage, sustainable fuels, circularity, green mobility).  He was recognised as one of the “Top 25 Sustainability Consultants and Leaders” of 2023 and 2024 by the Consulting Report.  Functionally, Hasan has also helped clients develop and execute growth and value creating strategies, led end to end M&A programs, and driven performance improvement initiatives.

Hasan has been active in many industry forums, e.g. as invited keynote panellist for World Hydrogen Week, conference chair for Connecting Green Hydrogen in MENA, as keynote moderator for ESF MENA – Energy & Sustainability Forum.  During COP28 and ADSW, Hasan facilitated CXO roundtables on the topic of hydrogen.  Hasan also published thought leadership reports in partnership with the World Government Forum on the topic of energy transition and decarbonization. 

Hasan has a PhD (Mechanical) and BSc (Aeronautical) in engineering, as well as an MBAE degree (University of Michigan, USA). He is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
