Pierre Leretz is an accomplished professional who has made significant contributions to the field of engineering and technology for more than 30 years. He currently serves as the Global Business Line Manager, Energy Industries Division at ABB Group, a leading company in the fields of manufacturing, robotics, and automation. The Blending Business Line delivers complete mechanical, electrification and automation solutions, industry-specific products, and lifecycle services across Blending & Formulation industries.

Mr. Leretz has spent over 20 years of his career working in various roles within ABB, including in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia. During this time, he has managed extensive operations and units in several key areas, including acquisitions, innovation, business development, and project management. These skills have been invaluable in his current role as the Sr. Vice President & Global Business Line Manager, where he leads the overall strategy and direction of the company.

One of the major significant aspects of Mr. Leretz’s role is his commitment to building strong relationships with stakeholders across his four Regional Centers, Americas, EMEA, Asia and China. He has worked closely with government officials, business leaders, and community organizations to promote investment and economic growth. This has played a key role in helping to become a leading provider of advanced technologies and solutions in the region.

In his first years at ABB, he was the president of the Middle East & Africa for Process Automation. In this role, he supported the process automation role segment of ABB’s businesses. In 2007, he joined Litwin Engineering Middle East as the CEO and Partner. In 2012, he rejoined ABB as the president and lead division manager of industrial solutions in the Middle East & Africa. In September-2018, he transitioned into Country Managing Director for Morocco and Francophone Africa. In the year 2020, he became the president of Vyco limited, an Industrial Automation & Innovation Consulting company based in UAE. In the year 2023, he was re-assigned by ABB as the Managing Director of the Process Industries Division for the region of Southeast Asia, New Zealand, and Australia (SEANZA), until his recent nomination as the Global Business Line Manager for the Blending Business Line.

Prior to joining ABB, Pierre was the Managing Director for France, North Africa and French Speaking Africa for Invensys – a company acquired by Schneider Electric.

Following his receipt of a bachelor’s degree in Automation Engineering from the Centre d'Etudes Supérieures Industrielles in Paris, Pierre went on to earn an executive master's degree in business administration from the EDC Paris Business School. He also has a Master of Science in innovation and entrepreneurship from HEC in Paris.

Pierre is currently based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. He is married with a daughter.
