Varghese Daniel is the co-founder and CEO of Wrench Solutions. He developed Wrench SmartProject, the world’s first AI-powered integrated Project Management Information System (PMIS) for capital projects, which is used by EPC firms worldwide. His current focus is on expanding SmartProject's presence in global markets. Varghese is also a nature enthusiast who leads urban re-greening and urban farming initiatives, using technology to promote thriving urban communities. Additionally, he supports eco-friendly projects such as flood-proof housing and fish farming, helping people build sustainable, healthy lifestyles while protecting the environment. Varghese holds a B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Jaipur.

This session will showcase how Machine Learning (ML) and AI technologies can revolutionise the management of as-built documents in operating plants, where unstructured formats often result in missing or inaccessible information. By training ML to understand document content, it scans files stored in Windows folders, automatically extracting key details and adding them as metadata for streamlined organisation. For drawings, AI leverages Optical Character Recognition (OCR) to read scanned images, updating metadata with critical information like drawing numbers, descriptions, and revision numbers. All documents are systematically linked to their corresponding Tag numbers, providing effortless access. Furthermore, the Retrieval-Augmented Generation framework enhances efficiency by parsing content to generate comprehensive instruction manuals for both equipment and the plant. When applicable, related videos will automatically play from the exact section explaining the relevant instruction, ensuring a seamless user experience.
