Denis Prokofiev is an oil and gas industry veteran that has deep experience in oilfield development, JV governance, technology and digital transformation leadership. Trained as a nuclear physicist at St. Petersburg State and Purdue Universities, Denis has also received an Executive MBA from University of Chicago Booth School of Business with high honors. Denis has spent 10 years at Shell E&P Company working on projects in USA, Brazil, Russia and Kazakhstan. After that, Denis became principal at Quantum Reservoir Impact, a boutique international technical and strategy consulting firm. In 2016, Denis has joined Gazprom Neft Upstream division as a head for new technology. In this capacity, Denis has set up an organization, processes, and was responsible for budget and portfolio management. In 2019, Denis was appointed a CDO of GPN Upstream business. Denis joined C3 AI, a leading Enterprise AI company, in April 2022. As CTO for Industrial Asset Management vertical, Denis brings together product development with customer success and value creation across Oil and Gas, Midstream transportation, Refining, Chemicals, Fertilizer, and Metals and Mining industries.
