Driven by a passion for discovery and a desire to make a difference, Trygve has forged his career at the intersection of digital technology and energy. After earning his Dr.Ing. degree in digital pattern recognition from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in 1997, Trygve joined Schlumberger.

Over three decades, Trygve has embraced both research and leadership roles, shaping the future of digital solutions within SLB. He began his journey in 1995 in Schlumberger Research, dedicating his first decade to advancing the company’s expertise in artificial intelligence for geoscience. In 2005, he took on the role of product owner for Ocean, then steered took on the role as the product manager for Petrel in 2009, leading Petrel through an unparalleled growth. His vision for integrated solutions and digital transformation propelled him to serve as Vice President for Geoscience and Drilling within Software Integrated Solutions (SIS) from 2011 to 2015.

Trygve’s global perspective expanded further when he became SIS Area Vice President for the Middle East & Asia, based in Dubai, and subsequently SIS President from 2019 to 2020. From 2020 to 2023, he held the role as Business Line Director for Digital Subsurface Solutions. Today, as Senior Vice President for Digital Products & Solutions—effectively the Chief Digital Products Officer—Trygve empowers SLB to pioneer digital advancements that are transforming the energy industry worldwide.

Trygve brings the same enthusiasm and drive to life’s adventures. Now based in London, he pursues his love for running, skiing, mountaineering, and rock climbing, sharing memorable experiences with his wife and four children.
