Egyptian Projects Operation and Maintenance (EPROM)
Eng. Ahmed Elsharnouby is the Process & Energy Optimization Department Manager at EPROM with fourteen years in petrochemical operations. During a six‑month assignment as a process and process‑safety engineer with BP (British Petroleum), he led a zero‑loss fired‑heater program at the West Nile Delta gas plant that saved 7 % fuel gas and cut 511 t CO₂ annually. At EPROM, he coaches teams on fired‑heater and boiler best practices and delivers Energy Efficiency and Transition courses for the Ministry of Petroleum’s Center of Excellence. A Certified Energy Manager (AEE) holding a BSc in Chemical Engineering, Ahmed is now spearheading Egypt’s first AI‑powered HAZOP‑LOPA assistant to automate hazard reviews and drive safer operations.
