As the world is progressing towards more sustainable energy sources and enablers for the energy transition journey, Gas Resources have emerged as a key component in the futuristic energy mix. Nowadays, unlocking the full potential of gas resources through advanced technologies to maximise the full value chain has been the main focus for the energy domain industry. With technology advances in gas exploration, development, production, and transportation, new opportunities are opening up to maximise gas production portfolio in most attractive, economical, and utmost sustainable manner. Gas advanced technologies plays a vital role to address various challenges and opportunities that includes not limited to conventional, unconventional, and ultra-sour gas resources both onshore and offshore.
This panel will bring together experts from industry, academia, and government to discuss the current state of gas technologies, the latest developments, and the challenges and opportunities for field implementation. The discussion will cover topics such as the role of gas in the energy transition, the latest advances in gas exploration and production technologies and the role of gas in reducing greenhouse gas emissions. The panellists will also explore the opportunities for collaboration between industry, academia, and government to accelerate the development and deployment of gas-focused technologies.

As the world moves towards a net-zero emissions target, there is an increasing pressure on the energy industry to adopt cleaner and more sustainable practices. However, with the ever-increasing demand for energy, the industry is still reliant on fossil fuels, including unconventional oil and gas.
