Dr. WEI Yunsheng is Vice President of the Research Institute of Petroleum Exploration & Development (RIPED), CNPC. With over 15 years’ experience, his research focuses on reservoir engineering, enhanced oil recovery, and resources development planning (including tight gas, shale gas, and coal rock gas etc.).

He has led several key national and corporate scientific projects. He has won 9 science and technology progress awards, and has published over 80 papers, 6 monographs, and filed 53 invention patents. He also serves as a reviewer for several prominent journals, such as Energy, Petroleum Exploration and Development, Natural Gas Industry, Gas Science and Engineering etc. He is an active member of SPE and China Petroleum Society.
