Natural Gas & LNG Conference Room B 10:50 - 11:10
Decarbonising global supply chains: the role of natural gas and LNG

Projections continue to position natural gas and LNG as a transitional fuel critical to decarbonising global energy markets by displacing energy sources like coal and oil while enabling the integration of renewable energy and new low-carbon technologies.

This Energy Talk will examine both sides of the equation. We will explore natural gas advantages for near-term emission reductions, including established infrastructure and flexible demand response capabilities. We will also assess what is required to maximise their decarbonisation potential through carbon capture and storage, methane leak reduction, and other emission control technologies. In addition, this session will highlight how strategic partnerships across the value chain can accelerate the transition to lower-carbon supply chains, ensuring natural gas and LNG support to the development of low-carbon alternatives.
