Joumanna is the anchor of the flagship morning show: Horizons Middle East and Africa on Bloomberg Television based in Dubai. The program provides audiences with a daily spotlight on the fast paced growth and major deals happening across the Middle East and Africa and provides analysis of the day’s leading business, energy and geopolitical stories. Joumanna has interviewed Heads of State, Senior Ministers and Officials, Business Leaders and leading Economic voices from the region on the program. Some of her recent interviews have included: Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, Prime Minister of Iraq, HE Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy and Remote Work Applications UAE, HE Mohammed Al-Jadaan, Minister of Finance, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, David Solomon, Chairman & CEO of Goldman Sachs, Bill Ford, CEO of General Atlantic and Amin Nasser, CEO of Saudi Aramco. Alongside anchoring Horizons Middle East and Africa, Joumanna has served as a Middle East Correspondent on Bloomberg’s global programming providing analysis and insight from the region on the stories that are impacting global markets and the wider news agenda. She was the co-host of the fourth annual Qatar Economic Forum in Doha in 2024, as well as moderating panels at the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos, the World Economic Forum in Riyadh, Dubai FinTech Summit, Abu Dhabi Finance Week, and more. Prior to joining Bloomberg, Joumanna was a London-based anchor and journalist for CNBC. She has interviewed global policymakers, CEOs & CFOs and top central bankers in EMEA and has moderated panels at the World Economic Forum at Davos, the International Monetary Fund and more. She has extensive experience covering major companies, monetary policy decisions and geopolitical news. Prior to working in broadcasting, she spent 11 years working in the City of London, including at Citigroup and Goldman Sachs as a macro and fixed income specialist on the trading floor. She studied Economics as an undergraduate at the American University of Beirut, where she was the recipient of the Penrose Award. A dual national with UK and Lebanese citizenship, Joumanna speaks Arabic and English fluently. In May 2022, she obtained her CFA certification in ESG Investing.
