Mariam played a vital role in shaping the UAE’s environmental, food, and water security policies. As UAE Minister of Climate Change and Environment, and previously as Minister of State for Food and Water Security, she led national efforts to strengthen climate resilience, promote sustainable innovation, and safeguard vital resources. These experiences have given her a profound understanding of global sustainability challenges and has inspired her commitment to responsible investing and sustainable growth across industries. In addition to her role at 2PointZero, H.E. Mariam is the Head of the International Affairs Office at the Presidential Court of the UAE. She is a board member of First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB), ModonHolding,McLarenGroupHoldings,andthe Abu Dhabi Fund for Development, whereshe contributes withher expertise to the International Humanitarian and Philanthropic Council, reflecting her broader commitment to global cooperation and development. In her role at the International Affairs Office, she oversees strategic projects including the Emirates Polar Program and the UAE-Gates Partnership. Outside the boardroom, she is a passionate pianist and a former elite show jumping athlete, having proudly represented the UAE in top-level international competitions as part of the national equestrian team.
