Shaping upstream strategy in a shifting landscape

As global energy demand grows in the decades to come, the upstream oil and natural gas sector will continue to be foundational to delivering the reliable and affordable energy the world needs. Producers need to strike the right balance between expanding the supply of energy and reducing its emissions intensity. ExxonMobil is uniquely positioned to lead in this space. By executing large-scale projects, applying new-to-the-world technologies, and leveraging its advantages of scale and integration, the company is delivering the energy that powers economies, lifts people out of poverty, and improves lives.

In this Energy Talk, Dan Ammann, President of ExxonMobil Upstream Company, will share his perspectives on the long-term trends shaping global energy demand and supply. He will outline how ExxonMobil’s Upstream strategy is evolving, advancing traditional oil and natural gas developments, expanding LNG capacity to serve fast-growing markets, and investing in technologies that will define the future of energy. This session will offer a forward-looking view of how ExxonMobil is navigating complexity, capturing opportunity, and fulfilling its role to provide energy with lower emissions far into the future.
