Alessandro Puliti has been the Chief Executive Officer of Saipem since August 2022, having joined the company in February 2022 as General Manager. He started his over 30-year career as a reservoir geologist, taking on increasing responsibilities in a variety of technical, operational and management positions in Italy and abroad, first at Agip and later at Eni. While at Eni, he worked in Egypt in 2003 as IEOC’s Development and Operations Manager and subsequently took on the role as General Manager and Managing Director of Petrobel and later as General Manager of IEOC. In 2009 he moved back to Italy to take on the position of Vice President Regional Management Russia and Northern Europe. In 2010 he moved to Norway, where he held the dual role of Eni Norge’s Managing Director and Vice President Regional Management Russia and Northern Europe. In 2012 he returned to the headquarters’ Operations Department, first as Senior Vice President Petroleum Engineering, Production and Maintenance and then as Senior Vice President Drilling and Completion and Deputy Operations. In October 2015 he was appointed Executive Vice President Reservoir & Development Projects. In 2018 he took on the role of Chief Development, Operations & Technology Officer and then Chief Upstream Officer in 2019, to be appointed a year later as Chief Operating Officer Natural Resources. Mr Puliti was born in Florence. He graduated with Honours in Geology from the University of Milan and earned the MEDEA Master in Energy and Environmental Management and Economics from the “Scuola Mattei”.
