Romuald Coupan is a Technology Project Manager at SLB New Energy, currently assigned to its clean hydrogen technology joint venture, GENVIA.

He supports the integration of Genvia’s electrolyzer technology into industrial applications by managing projects focused on industrial heat recovery and leading process modeling activities for hydrogen applications.

Before joining SLB, Romuald spent over 12 years in technical roles within the energy sector. He contributed to engineering and R&D projects related to thermal power plants, gas-to-chemicals conversion, and CO₂ capture.

An active member of the scientific community, Romuald is the author of approximately 20 patents and around 30 scientific articles and technical communications. He is also currently involved in more than 15 ongoing patent applications focused on hydrogen technologies.

Romuald graduated from top-ranked French engineering schools and universities. He holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering and Materials Science, a Master’s degree in Chemistry, and an Engineering degree in Process and Energy.
