Dr. Aseel Hussien is a postdoctoral fellow developing graphene-based catalysts for CO₂ methanation, converting greenhouse gases into methane — a fuel with higher volumetric energy content than hydrogen. She earned her Ph.D. from Khalifa University, where he enhanced the carbon resistance of low-cost catalysts for dry reforming of methane (DRM), addressing key issues of catalyst deactivation and economic feasibility. Her work has been both published and patented. During her MSc, she focused on underwater welding using nanoheaters to reduce risks associated with diving. Her research centers on sustainable energy solutions, carbon dioxide utilization and mitigation, and advancing catalytic technologies for clean fuel production.
